Considered by many to be Beaufort's most
authentic historic bed and breakfast, the Delamar Inn offers its
guests a unique experience to step back in time. This statement was recently
re-inforced with their selection as one of the top 10 B&B's in the South for 2003 by Arrington's B&B Journal. They are rightfully proud and honored by this selection. Built in 1866
by Jacob Gibble, the house served as his home for his wife and
six children. Through the years the Gibble family intermarried
with the Delamar family. Now, this home is operating as an historic inn.
The Delamar Inn offers three antique furnished
guestrooms, three common sitting areas, an upper and lower porch,
and an English courtyard garden.
The Inn located in the historic district is one block from the Beaufort
historical grounds and old graveyard, specialty shops, antique shops
and restaurants and less than two blocks from Front Street and the
waterfront boardwalk.
