 The Barnes House

This B&B is located 30 miles east of I-95 and 60 miles west of Norfolk, Virginia.
This location provides an opportunity for parents and friends of Chowan College to
relax during their visit to the college. Business travelers will find the elegant
peacefulness perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Whether you choose a
location in the house, swinging on the front porch, or our beautiful lawn, a retreat
from the outside world is waiting.

Imagine the bride walking down the maroon, carpeted staircase into the large,
formal areas that provide a perfect setting for weddings, receptions, brunches,
or any elegant function. The beautifully manicured lawn is an ideal setting for
outdoor weddings, social functions or just sitting. The sunny breakfast room is
perfect for small business conferences or an afternoon of bridge. The host, Craig
Dennis and hostess, Jeanne Edwards, will assist you in locating a caterer to
cater your events.
